Eden Place was co-designed and built by Mike Horvat and his wife Keri-Anne.

"The comfort and happiness of seniors was the target. Careful consideration was given to the beauty and size of the home. It was a deliberate decision to build on a small scale".

"The question was, how can one be happy  residing in a large institutional building"?

A  true home was created where elders do not have to sit down with a hundred people every day for every meal, where children and pets are welcome, where elders can genuinely enjoy life without the feeling that they are on display or have too many restrictions.

Elders feel comfortable enough to have a meal in one of the dining rooms in their robes and there is never any rush to finish a meal as there are  two dining rooms.

If one wishes to make tea in one of the kitchens they are welcome to do so.
